Attorney Profile
Alan Hinaman has represented property owners, tenants, landlords, developers, brokers, investors and individuals on a broad range of commercial real estate transactions and general business matters for more than 25 years. Alan has extensive experience handling lease transactions, including office headquarters leases for corporate clients, retail leases for both landlords and tenants, and industrial leases for locations throughout the United States. Alan has also handled numerous purchase and sale transactions (including contract negotiation, due diligence, development matters and closing) involving office buildings, industrial facilities, retail centers, apartment complexes, farm and ranch property and raw land. He regularly drafts and negotiates related agreements, such as easements, restrictive covenants, license agreements and commission agreements. In addition, Alan consults with and advises borrowers on real estate loan transactions.
Alan also provides legal services in connection with business entity formation and operation, business acquisition and disposition, contract review, negotiation, and drafting, and related commercial transactions.
Alan graduated summa cum laude from the University of Houston in 1992 with a BBA in Accounting. He received his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center, magna cum laude, and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1995. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and its Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section. He is also a member of the American Bar Association.
